We’re excited to share that Calls for Proposals and Academic Posters are now open for the 2027 State Conference!


For more than 50 years, educators and students from across Texas have come together through TACHE to share best practices, exchange ideas, build connections, and highlight the incredible work happening across our campuses and communities. 


This tradition of coming together is at the heart of who we are.


We encourage you to submit a proposal or academic poster and take this opportunity to showcase the incredible work, research, ideas, and impact you are contributing to higher education and our communities.

Key Deadlines


  • Call for Proposals Opens: August 28, 2026

  • Proposal Submission Deadline: September 28, 2026

  • Acceptance Notifications Sent: October 7, 2026

  • Presenter Registration & Membership Deadline: January 1, 2027

Presenter Requirements

  • Maximum of 5 presenters per submission (including panels).

  • All presenters must be registered TACHE members for the 2026–2027 academic year and fully registered for the conference by January 1, 2027.

Proposal Requirements & Evaluation Criteria 

Proposals undergo a masked review process based on the following criteria:  

  • Title: Concise and clear identification of program content (under 150 characters, including spaces).  

  • Abstract: Summary of the purpose, scope, and sequence of the session (up to 550 characters, including spaces).  

  • Learning Outcomes: Exactly 3 clearly defined outcomes detailing participant engagement and expected competencies.  

  • Session Modality: Selected format (lecture, panel, workshop, roundtable, or other) aligned with learning outcomes.  

  • Presentation Description & Agenda: Background information, overview/agenda, and methodology or recommendations (if reporting research).  

  • Conference Alignment: Clear connection to the Latine community, higher education, TACHE's mission/vision/values, or the conference theme.  

  • Overall Clarity: Quality of writing, organization, and logical flow of ideas.
