Research study opportunities

Dear Colleagues,

We are currently in need of your participation. Dr. Leslie Ramos Salazar from the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business and Dr. Priscella Correa from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at West Texas A&M University are conducting a Texan faculty and staff wellbeing study and seeking approximately 5,000 faculty and staff members to complete this pre-test survey. The purpose of this study is to examine university employees’ perceptions of their general health and work-related outcomes such as job satisfaction during the post-vaccine era across time. This study has received IRB Approval (IRB#2022.02.008).

We are recruiting university employees (faculty or staff) a) who are at least 18 years old, b) who are currently working at least part-time either as a faculty or staff member at a higher education institution, and c) who can read and speak English to complete a pre-test online questionnaire via Qualtrics. For the study, participants will be asked to take a pre-test confidential and anonymous questionnaire that will not use their IP address via Qualtrics. The survey will ask about demographic questions and perceptions about general health behaviors and well-being, self-compassion, mindfulness, and questions about your job. To participate please open the following web-link on a separate browser:

Your participation in this university employee study is voluntary and highly appreciated. By participating in this study you will 1) learn about the research process which can be beneficial to your professional development and 2) benefit the scholarly community that is attempting to understand the general health behaviors and well-being of university employees, which can inform future health interventions. The time commitment for the completion of this study is approximately 20 minutes.

If you have any questions concerning the research study, please e-mail: lsalazar@wtamu.edu.

Thank you very much for your time,
