Raíces de Esperanza: Building Resilient Communities for Educational Advancement is an engaging, active pre-conference that empowers Latinx communities and educational allies through storytelling, strategic safety, leadership, grassroots organizing, and artistic expression.
Featuring keynote poet and advocate Rossy Evelin Lima alongside local civic leaders and organizers, the program fosters resilience rooted in cultural pride, hope, and collective strength. Participants will practice safe, strategic advocacy; map community assets; and engage in peer coaching. Throughout, you’ll create a small “Roots of Hope” art piece—a tangible reminder of your journey—and leave with a practical campus/community action plan and new collaborators. Materials provided; space is limited.
*The student rate shown is for undergraduate and graduate students that do not work full-time.
Contact Maria Guerrero at 806-651-5310 or at mguerrero@tache.org if you have any questions or difficulty with registration.
